TAMPA - Leaders at the 樱花视频 Muma College of Business unveiled its new strategic plan today, charting its vision and aspirations for the next decade.
Powering Dreams: Strategic Plan 2025-2035 is a blueprint that introduces the college鈥檚 new vision, mission, and values and reflects the goals of the Muma community on all three 樱花视频 campuses in Tampa, St. Petersburg and Sarasota-Manatee.
"This plan represents a bold and exciting vision for the next decade, built on the energy, innovation and collaboration that define who we are. It鈥檚 not just a document鈥t鈥檚 a call to action,鈥 said David W. Blackwell, the Lynn Pippenger Dean at the Muma College of Business.

The plan highlights four strategic priorities focusing on student success, impactful research, community engagement, and expanded reputation.
鈥淭his plan represents not just where we are going, but the kind of impact we want to have on the world,鈥 he said. 鈥淭hese priorities will shape our teaching, research, partnerships and culture. They will fuel progress and power the dreams of those we serve: our students, our colleagues and our community."
Under the plan:
- The college鈥檚 vision is to become the acclaimed partner of choice for learners, scholars, and leaders from the business community.
- Its mission is to empower learners to achieve their dreams, creating value through the knowledge generated and shared by our highly engaged hub of innovative students, faculty, staff, and business leaders.
Work on the strategic plan began in August 2024 as one of Blackwell鈥檚 top priorities after starting as dean a month earlier. The eight-month strategic planning process included outside consultants who helped facilitate and gather input from various stakeholders at town halls, faculty and staff meetings, a task force of community leaders, and working groups.

鈥淭he facilitators were fantastic, and there was magic in the mix of people from other parts of the college and university. It was a great example of how diversity of thought produces a better outcome,鈥 said Elizabeth Krystyn, founding partner at The Baldwin Group who serves on the college鈥檚 Executive Advisory Council.
鈥淒ean Blackwell let the team ideate and invited collaboration across colleges and schools, without expecting a prescribed outcome. I think that is a sign of a strong leader.鈥
Andy Hafer, co-founder of DCE Productions and member of the college鈥檚 Executive Advisory Council, said through teamwork, the planning task force created a roadmap that charts the college鈥檚 future growth and impact.

鈥淚t was a pleasure to serve on the task force to plan the next chapters for the Muma College of Business. The team developed ideas to help the college and its graduates adapt to new challenges, produce research that changes society, and innovate locally and globally,鈥 he said.
Next steps include starting the strategic plan鈥檚 implementation phase. Faculty and staff will be selected to lead and coordinate the four strategic areas, moving the plan forward by executing tactics, recruiting talent, measuring results, and making progress.
