The Muma College of Business serves as a hub of engaged collaboration that fosters beneficial, enduring relationships. In the Tampa Bay region, and with its partners across the globe, the college unites stakeholders to produce positive change. Its agility and cooperative spirit are foundational to its culture, bringing students, faculty, staff, alumni, businesses, community members and donors together to achieve its mutual goals.

Strategies

3.1 Create and Sustain a Hub of Engaged Stakeholders

  • 3.1a Ensure that Muma鈥檚 external community is aware of the resources and support available and understands how to engage with those resources.
  • 3.1b Keep stakeholders connected, informed and actively engaged with Muma.
  • 3.1c Implement student engagement opportunities (e.g., internships, experiential learning) that support community stakeholders and enhance student learning.
  • 3.1d Increase collaborations with advisory councils to enhance Muma鈥檚 impact and visibility.

3.2 Increase Focus on International Engagement and Collaboration

  • 3.2a Engage key academic, business and community partners in international regions who are connected to Tampa Bay, Muma alumni, or share alignment with Muma鈥檚 teaching and research priorities.
  • 3.2b Connect on-campus stakeholders and community partners with international peers to foster cross-cultural exchange and collaboration.

3.3 Build Physical Space to Support the Ecosystem of Learning, Research and Collaboration

  • 3.3a Develop an Entrepreneurship Living-Learning Community to cultivate an innovation-driven environment.
  • 3.3b Create a new space for the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management to modernize the delivery of instruction and foster stronger connections between the program and industry partners.
  • 3.3c Create a new facility for the Muma College of Business on the Tampa campus to enable state-of-the-art learning and collaboration.
